All-Steak break coming at a perfect time for Jared Sullinger

Sullinger has been dealing with the flu, along with a dislocated finger. The Celtics will hit the road once the break is over. The Celtics won't play again until next Wednesday. It will be a solid week until the Celtics play again. Sullinger will play in the NBA's Rising Stars Challenge during All-Star weekend in New Orleans. Hopefully he asks to play in limited minutes during that.

Sullinger has been excellent, besides the last two games, but at least we know the problem.

"He needs to put those hands down and do nothing," Blakely said. "On his shooting his hand, his index finger is the one's that dislocated, so he's shooting with four fingers."

Sullinger also was under the weather, but still played in the 104-92 loss to the Spurs on Wednesday night in the Celtics' final game before the break. He had only four points on 2-for-9 shooting. He could also use the time off to get over being sick.

Sullinger's superstar numbers have dropped. Sully has scored 4, 11, and 13 points in his last three games. The rebounding has been on point, but his overall game has been declining. The break has come at the right time.

  1. Agree, perfect time for the break. it always seem like an injury or two needs healed at this point.
