Celtics Morning Joe: Celtic players not worried over rumors

As this article goes live, their will be around 8 hours to go before the trade deadline. Brad Stevens, along with the players have been asked about the rumors, and at this point it seems like they just want to play the game before them. Before the Celtics squared off against the Suns. Brad Stevens said this about the rumors, and trade deadline.

"The biggest thing is, you don't focus on things that aren't there," Stevens said prior to Wednesday's game against Phoenix. "Our team is right here; they're right in front of me. I don't want to speculate or live in a world of speculation. I want to live in the world that exists and go from there."

His response is ideal for this situation. Brad Stevens isn't the type to get overwhelmed about things. Brad Stevens has politely answered all the trade questions, as you would expect, but it doesn't make it easy for the rookie coach.

"I understand it's a great storyline, it's a great thing to talk about, and a great thing to have in the media," Stevens said. "From my standpoint, I haven't thought two seconds about it. It's not my job, nor is it anything that I'm concerned about from the standpoint . . . The team that we have, I like our locker room, I like the guys that are here. It is what it is."

I do agree, isn't it great theater? The rumors, no matter how true they are. They still give us gas, or headaches, as you try to find the rumors with some truth attached.

"Stay focused," Rondo said. "I can only control so much. Right now, I'm a Celtic and I'm going to go out tonight and play as hard as I can if I'm still here."

Rondo responded with this answer before tip-off Wednesday night. He what's he supposed to say about the rumors. Will see what happens in the next few hours.

  1. If Danny would stop his crazed, relentless, presumably caffein fueled shopping of players, the rumors would calm down.
