Chris Babb set to return with Celtics

Chris Babb had one hell of a preseason game if you recall against the Knicks. Babb nailed 4-of-5 from three, for 12 points, and he looked like a deadly shooter. Well, he'll get another chance with the Celtics. Through 32 games with Maine, Babb was averaging 11.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.

The Celtics, beset with several injuries, are expected to sign guard Chris Babb on Saturday.

Babb, who has played with the Celtics' NBA Development League team in Maine, was the last player cut in Celtics training camp.

The addition of Babb will help offset the absence of Avery Bradley, who will miss his eighth consecutive game on Saturday night because of an ankle injury. The Celtics host the Pacers at TD Garden.
