The Celtics will face off against the Suns this Friday in Boston, and in that game Avery Bradley is expected to return after being sidelined for 16 of the past 19 games. The Celtics have certainty miss Bradley. On both ends of the floor really. Not only would it be nice to have his defense back, but his 14 points a game would be solid.
"I'm progressing and my ankle's a lot better than it was," Bradley said. "It feels better and it looks better."
Bradley guessed that he's about a week away from a return to game action, a timeline that was echoed by coach Brad Stevens.
"[Team trainer] Ed [Lacerte] just told me Friday is a possibility, but we’ll see," Stevens said. "I don’t want to say with any certainty on Friday or not. It doesn’t look like Tuesday or Wednesday he would play, but hopefully we get him back sooner rather than later."
I wrote an article Should: Avery Bradley sit out the rest of the season?
But I'm thinking the NBA GM's need to see what Bradley can do for the remainder of the season. Can he stay healthy? I believe that Bradley's return next season is 50/50 right now. Depending on the draft and on the salary that AB wants.
