Celtics lose another close game, 107-102 against the Bulls
Jeff Green hit a fadeaway three to tie the game at 96-96. But with 1:19 to go, D.J Augustin hit a 3 to give the Bulls a 99-96 lead. Olynyk then turned it over on the next play, trying to force feed Green inside. The Celtics started to foul the Bulls after a few missed opportunities. Jared Sullinger hit a pair of three's to keep the Celtics in range, but it wasn't enough. The Bulls beat Boston 107-102.
This was classic back and forth affair, but once again the Celtics couldn't close out the Bulls at home. D.J. Augustin had a career high 33 points, and Noah nearly had a triple-double for the Bulls, with 11 assists, 8 rebounds, and 13 points. Rondo was solid with 17 points and 11 assists. The Celtics had balanced scoring with Green scoring 16, Sully with 16, Humphries with 14, and Bayless with 12 off the bench. This was an offensive explosion for two of the worst scoring teams in the NBA.
The Bulls shot 50% from the field, and the Celtics made 46% of their shots. Checkout Rondo's baby hook. That's automatic, and should happen more. He did have back-to-back floaters, and the big hook below. Plus two three's from Rondo. The Celtics will head to Chicago for Monday's matchup.
