Celtics stay close, but fall to Pacers 102-97

The effort was there for the Boston Celtics, they gave the best team in the NBA a run for their money. Jeff Green had one of his nights, scoring a team-high 27 points for Boston. Paul George scored 25 points, as the Pacers hung on to a 102-97 win in Boston.

The bigs played well for the C's, Hump had a double-double, 18 points and 10 rebounds. Bass added 16 points with 5 rebounds. As for Rondo, he played like a point guard should. He finished with 12 points, 11 assists and 7 rebounds.

Key Stats:

Boston had 25 assists with just 8 turnovers

Boston out rebounded the Pacers 41-38

The C's had 17 fast break points compared to the Pacers 4

The Celtics will have the next three days off in Boston. I'm sure they'll have the day off tomorrow. This was a moral win in every way. Stay tuned, I'll have more on the game tonight and in the morning.

  1. Great effort, but glad we lost in a way. Can't have the Pacers losing ground on the Heat.

  2. Those shots are going to start falling consistently for Rondo. He's giving us the consistency, the fire, the leadership , the shooting, the improved defense, even though he is still not 100% - still no love from the Haters?
