The season hasn't officially ended yet, with the Spurs and Heat battling for a championship. That hasn't stopped the grumbling around the Celtics, and with other teams looking to make a leap into contention. The Celtics as I say have a championship player right now in Rondo, looking for help like a Chris Paul has with the Clippers, or like so many other great players.
The budding partnership of Love and Rondo has all of us crazed and ready for a leap into contention. It won't take much to do that in the Eastern Conference, but Love and Rondo won't be enough, unless Danny is able to tweak the team to benefit both players needs and abilities. Rondo stopped by ABC's Good Morning America Thursday, and he spoke about the Celtics potential big summer.
The more interesting part of his visit might have came after his brief two-minute segment when GMA had Rondo field some questions via Instragam, including his thoughts on the offseason.
"Hopefully this summer we’re going to make some big changes, get the ball rolling, and get back in the Finals pretty soon," Rondo said. “I know [Celtics president of basketball operations] Danny Ainge is doing his job, and I’m going to go out every summer, do my job, and get better."
