Tanguay and Jeff Goodman attack Rondo, and blame him for Celtics woes in free agency

The other bloggers are right. Red's Army and Jeff Clark from Celtics blog called this guy out, and they should have. He's not very good at his job, so he stirs the pot. Tanguay is another animal. This guy has no redeeming qualities. He's always on Rondo, and he calls for a trade every other day. Jeff Goodman has no idea, and Tanguay as well. In the past Kobe said he wanted Rondo, Kevin Love even said he wouldn't mind playing with Rondo, and so has Melo. As for Doc leaving. The other blogs nailed it. Doc wanted to leave because he didn't want to rebuild, and Rondo said he still talks to Doc. They've patched up things I'm sure.

This stuff is getting old, and I hate to do this. But doesn't Danny get some of the blame? He's had Rondo dangling over the balcony ready to drop. These guys get fuel by the rumors, and they go ahead and make ever crazier rumors. It's all a mess for Rondo. We often talk about how bad Pierce had it from 2004-2007 in Boston. But with social media today and more and more blogs. Rondo has easily been a harder target. In case you missed the back and forth between Red's Army along with Celtics blog against Jeff Goodman, you can find it here.

  1. Tanguay reminds me of Eddie Andelman. It's a longstanding tradition in Boston it seems - talking heads with no conscience whatsoever, latching onto any issue that they think can stir passions. The thing about the team enjoying playing with Pressey more I love. OF COURSE THEY ENJOYED PLAYING WITH PRESSEY MORE!!!!! The real question is why did this matter? Why? Because Danny and Stevens refused to give Rondo the status he has earned, such that they rest of the team knew that regardless of who they would prefer to play pickup ball with, and who they would prefer to hang out with, once they put that uniform on, they need to recognize that Rondo is the Man, period. He's the best playmaker in the game. If you don't like playing with him then you'd better learn. THAT is the attitude that should have been enforced on the team. Best playmaker in the game. If you can't play well off him, you are gone.

  2. Tanguay is a douche. He rants about nonsense and uses ridiculous arguments to make his "case". Just the other night, he was complaining that Farrell should have started Lester in the ASG instead of Felix Hernandez, and used the fact that he was giving Derek Jeter the leadoff slot as some sort of justification for it. First, what does that have to do with anything? Second, who cares who starts the ASG? It's a meaningless exhibition game.

  3. When Tanguay was working with Celtics you didn't get that kind of talk from him, but he is not there now so he has a lot of hogwash coming out of his mouth, he needs to go. He and some of the other like him who think they know everything about sports in MA all need replacing.

  4. Why do you even bother what Tanguay says? He's an uniformed blowhard. Guy doesn't have a clue. He stirs crap up to be the counter point guy. Comcast would be a much better station without him

  6. Isn't he the idiot that wanted Carmelo in Boston? Does he not have a clue on what a real Boston Celtic Player is?

  7. I could see Carmelo in Boston - well, that is, until he took the Knicks offer, having played them so hard, just because it was more money, and suddenly playing with a good team didn't matter anymore...yeah thank God he stayed in NY...

  8. Great points guys. He was replaced as the celtics pre and post game host. He knew shit thats why he was moved to another gig. The guy should be canned. They keep him around for shock value.

  9. Don't think he didn't sit down and try to figure out what his best role going forwards could be - the answer he came up with was, apparently, shock clown.

  10. How many times does Ainge need to say that he wants to keep Rondo and every player is tradeable? If Rondo wants the max and another team will give away the farm for him, of course the farm might be a good idea. This is about all we need to hear. Rondo will be showing his best game in his last contract year. ?he will be more tradeable, but also more expensive if he has his best year. Ainge should just go ahead and offer him a contract for 10 million/yr for 4 years!
